This is a great tea kettle for those with metal allergies! Cute whistle too!

I just ordered a glass tea kettle from Golden Moon and couldn’t be happier with it. I decided that if I’m going to have the best tea I should be heating my water in the purest way possible to enjoy the Golden Moon tea experience to its fullest.

I love this glass whistling tea kettle, i use it every day, and it makes the best cup of tea and i can hear it from any room!

Love my new glass tea kettle and feel good about what it’s made of. Works great and am enjoying my many Golden Moon teas that I have been able to brew up using my kettle.

Appreciate the simplicity and that it's glass. Pure and easy to use. I looked at several more expensive options but came back to the basics.

I have another tea kettle that does not whistle when the water is boiling which is why I I ordered this one, plus it is heavy duty glass, which I like. The problem is that the lid pops up when it is boiling thus it doesn't whistle. I wish it were a true whistling tea kettle.

I was looking for a safer kettle to replace my vintage aluminum one. This was just the simple design (even vintage look) and price point I desired. You do have to boil just past 24oz as a minimum amount of water. So for most households that is fine but for me as the only coffee drinker in the house you will just have to wait a bit longer for your water to be ready. But just go do another task at the same time.

This kettle looks like fine crystal! When it whistles, I can actually hear it - unlike countless others that have come and gone. It’s a winner! And a good gift

I was so happy to find a glass tea kettles. It looks like the old school coffee pots. Either way it is safe and quickly heats up my water each morning. Make sure to follow the direction as far as the size of the burner and making sure there is enough water in it.

Just bought this glass tea kettle because I was concerned about boiling water in a metal tea pot where chemicals can leech into my water. This tea kettle works great! It has a loud whistle and water boils quickly! It is the perfect size and I’m so happy I bought the glass!

The Glass Tea Kettle is exactly what I was looking for.
I was concerned about chemical and other contaminants from other Tea Pots.
After some research I decided That the Borosilicate Glass from Germany was very safe.
I highly recommend this product.

After many years I chipped my whistling glass tea kettle that I used to heat water for coffee and tea. I'm a little old school, no coffee pods and coffee making machines here. I have a tea pot for tea and a French press for coffee, that's all I need. Given the advances in technology I was wondering if they still made whistling tea kettles. And there you were, to save the day. For the more technologically advanced, I'll let you in on a little secret - You put the water in, you close the top, you put it on a burner, and it will whistle when the water is boiled. It even comes with the trivet like device to put under it on an electric range. I'm happy, very happy with it. Thanks.

I ordered two of these. They came very well packaged and arrived in good condition. Very easy to use and look nice sitting on the stove ( I always leave one out on the stove top.) After reading about the chemicals that could be leaching out of my metal tea kettle, I couldn’t bear to use it anymore. I was so happy to find these clean glass tea kettles. It puts my mind at ease and now I can really enjoy my cup of tea!

I was looking for the cleanest way to boil water for my coffee and tea, and found the Medelco Kettle. I was dismayed to see the residues at the bottom of aluminum kettles I've used up to now. I'm very pleased with the quality of the glass as well as the soft whistle it produces to let me know the water is ready.

I received my tea kettle and some tea and me and my husband have been enjoying it ever since! We know our tea kettle won't rust like the last one did, even though it was stated that it was Stainless steel. We have been through a few that have been that now that have said they were stainless steel only to have the rust after a few weeks. I am so thrilled to find something that isn't going to leach toxic stuff into my tea!! Thank you golden moon tea, for the kettle and the wonderful tea!!

I'm enjoying my new glass kettle. It makes it so much easier to heat the right amount of water and take it off at the right temp too since I can actually see the water just at the boil. Love it!

I am a big fan of borosilicate glass for anything tea-related: tea kettle, mugs/cups etc. I very much appreciate the great price point as well. Only thing I would note is that the whistle on mine is a very low, rather pitiful sound. The first time I heard it, I just busted-out laughing, since I was accustomed to the classic, shrill (as in ear-splitting) sound that my stainless steel pot made. So I do set the stove timer. I don't want to ruin the pot by boiling it dry since I can't hear the whistle in another room . . . .

Our expensive Kitchenaid teapot was rusting inside real bad after about six years of use. We loved it, but don’t want to drink rusted water. Called Kitchenaid since it had a life time warranty. They replaced it with a electric teapot since they no longer make the one we had. That was great, but still wanted a stove top tea pot. Looked up reviews and some people were stating glass was better for heating your water in for your health. Found your site with a great price and the tea pot whistled too. Had nothing to loose to try it out since it was under $20. Our Kitchenaid cost around $80 many years ago. Better deal to spend $20. It works very well too. We are happy so far. Just worry about breaking the glass. The handle can get hot if you use too high of heat. Keep the heat lower and no problem at all.

The tea kettle came with what looked like a bent up paperclip. I just do not see how that works to protect the tea kettle. As such that little trinket remains in the plastic bag. What works very well is just a standard hob. A hob transfers the heat from the electric coils in an even heat without any hot spots.

The first day the glass was so nice and clear. By the end of the third day the inside was a nice white haze due to the all too common hard water found in most parts of California. To combat the lime buildup I have started putting in a spoonful of pickle relish as a final rinse when cleaning the tea kettle. The pickle juice attacks the lime, and the pickle chunks act a gentle scrubbers. The tea kettle is now all nice and clear once again.

To start off 24 ounces of water must be added to the kettle before heating. That amount of water is enough to brew a mug of tea once the mug is warmed with some of those 24 ounces of boiling water.

This glass tea pot is nostalgic and just as I remember the glass pots in the 60’s. Water boils fast, whistle blows nicely. I am very careful to not hit the glass against anything. Hope to have this for a long time.

I love the design and pretty much everything about this tea kettle; EXCEPT I had thought with the trivet to use between the kettle and the heating element that I could set the burner on at least medium-high rather then medium. It takes a long time to boil the water. I'm a tad impatient when it comes to waiting for water to boil. If not for that, I would have given it 5 stars.

I have been using a tea pot/kettle on my stove top for well over 20 years almost daily. I have used many metal ones over the years and have always been disappointed when they start to rust away. I did not want an electric kettle due to I just don't have the space in my kitchen and I like using my stove. I have a ceramic/glass cooktop too. So this time, and being a much more informed buyer now, I wanted a kettle/pot to boil my water in that would not leach any chemicals and hopefully be made in the USA. I found Golden Moon after a lot of searches on the web looking for a glass tea pot.. and low and behold, this kettle was everything I wanted, no plastic or metal touching my water, not made in a country with questionable materials with great reviews and the Whew.. the price did not break the bank. I have had it since 3/13/22 and I am very happy with it. I am afraid to get any of my cast iron skillets or stoneware near it though, hot or cold. It has been a great kettle and the water seems to boil much faster than metal one I have used in the past. I only use distilled water in it though due to I have a kidney condition that requires me to drink only distilled, if at all possible. Son and grandbaby both like to watch it really get to boiling and see the chemistry in action, mini science experiments to show them how water becomes a gas is a great plus for me. I would definitely buy it again, but here is hoping I can keep it for at least a few years before it gets broken.

Ww used to have an electric tea kettle which worked fine. However, when I read the heating components could possibly have lead and the metal could contaminate the water with heavy metals when heated I said " why risk it?"
I was nervous at first. But as long as you stay close by to gear the kettle whistle it works like a charm. I have a ceramic top stove so it is perfect. Easy to clean too. I am trying to find an actual glass teapot but I made tea in it and it works great for this too.

I really love how simple and clean this kettle is. I was trying to find an electric kettle with no plastic elements but it was nearly impossible. While the top of this kettle is plastic, there is no plastic actually inside where the water is or where any heating element is. Much more affordable and better quality than any kettle I found on amazon!

I've had this new glass tea kettle for about a week now. I love that it is glass and I no longer have to worry about metal leaching into my water when I boil it. I was almost skeptical when I saw the low price, but with all the great reviews, decided it was worth giving it a try. It heats up well, pours well, and the water from it tastes great. I do wish there was a non plastic lid option for when whistle was not needed. If I'm not careful to off center the pot a bit on my small glass top stove burner, the handle does get too hot to touch without a hot pad. But not a big deal, and worth it for the other features, especially for the price!

Love that it's clear too, would be nice if you could poor water without having to take off the top!

I had been looking for a replacement tea kettle for the last two months and what I had found in the shops was not to my liking. All of the metal kettles were made in China, of questionable materials, the build quality was poor, and the prices were unreasonably high for such a product. The Medelco glass tea kettle from Golden Moon was exactly what I was looking for. The price for this kettle was about half what I was seeing in local stores, and the quality of the Medelco kettle was way better. I have made about a dozen cups of tea since receiving the kettle, and the taste of the tea was outstanding compared to the taste from the old kettle that I had been using. The kettle was packed very well, and I ordered TWO because the shipping was the same, and very fair. I also purchased a package of tea leaves at the same time, and I would say that I found a good company to do business with!

I am very happy with the glass tea kettle which is non toxic and safe for use. The price was so inexpensive that I ordered two! The only improvement that I would suggest is for the handle to be longer. I use a pot holder mitt to be sure that I don’t accidentally brush my fingers against the kettle and burn them! Shipping was quick and well packaged. Great company!

We’ve had so many kettles and this is by far our favorite. It’s pretty fast and easy to clean and so inexpensive.

I looked over at my aluminum kettle on the stove after reading that aluminum leeches into the water (I make 5-6 cups of tea daily) and knew it was time to say goodbye. I first searched for stainless steel or enamel but they are very expensive and the paint on the enamel isn't exactly great for you either. I then looked at a few articles that recommended glass as the least hazardous vessel to boil water. This kettle came in TWO DAYS. It was an extremely fair price and much less than I was expecting to pay. I love the way the bubbles look when they boil and how they sound-- like rain on a tin roof. I am so so so happy with this purchase and product. I do expect it to one day break but I am more than happy to buy another one when/if it does.

My wife broke our teapot several weeks ago. This is a kitchen fixture we use daily and having it out of commission was a big problem for us. I checked online and found I could replace it several places but chose Golden Moon. I was surprised how quickly we received the replacement and was thrilled with the reasonable cost. I am very happy with our teapot back and working on the stove top.

I have used this tea kettle for 3 years at 3-4 days a week and it is still pretty much perfect. The bottom has just a bit of roughness from sitting on the burner, that is all! It is easy to clean too. The best is how pure the water stays (just don't fill it up too high like I sometimes do) and it has a pleasant whistle. Pouring is easy but depending on how I place the kettle, the handle can feel a bit hot. I would buy this kettle again, YES, but luckily there is no need!

No rust, no weird tastes, you can see that your kettle is truly clean. Arrived unbroken and earlier than promised or expected. Can not find one bad thing to say about this purchase. I bought 2, because the price was $7.00-10.00 lower than anywhere else on the internet or stores. I also bought 2 out of the fear that it would arrive damaged and that I will eventually break it like I did my last one that I had for years. The price was cheaper from Golden moon tea than the last one I bought from a big box BLUE chain store back in 2012-14, by $3.00. This was the single best deal that I've scored all year and I pretty much do 90% of all my shopping online. So, get 1 or if you are like me(a klutz) get 2 or 3, they won't rust or rot, just store the extras away from cats and adventurous Hamster's.

This kettle meets expectations, no complaints. Great way to boil your water. Cute too, leaving it out on the stovetop.

I love this new tea kettle! The idea was to get away from the metal tea pot I've been using for years as well as to detox my system from heavy metals as much as possible. The difference in the taste and smoothness of my matcha as well as any other tea was noticed immediately. I will never turn back.

Studies have shown that stainless steel kettles aren't as safe as we might expect. They may be better than aluminium kettles, but really a borosilicate glass kettle like the Medelco kettle listed here are the safest. This one also makes it easier to check if the water's simmering, before it starts whistling. Highly recommended.

I had switched to glass kettle 10 years ago. Unfortunately it got broken by accident and I had to get a new one. Best one so far

Good clean kettle! I got three because I get rough with my kettles sometimes. My counters are too tall for me. Good to have extra kettles as they are my most important kitchen tool.

This was an easy transition for my family and I. I originally was using a cheap aluminum kettle from Ikea until I realized the things that are leeching into my water when I boil it for my coffee EVERY DAY. This kettle is made from boroscillate glass (same stuff they use in chemistry labs) to withstand high temperatures and NOT leach toxic chemicals into your water. The price was an easy sale and obviously, very affordable. I recommend this to all and everyone I know who may have been in my same position before I found Golden Moon Tea!

I love this kettle I did a previous review but forgot to mention just keep it on low if you plan to have more than one cup of tea.

Quickly learned that 24 oz is the minimum amount of water you must boil. So I'm heating 3X the water I need for every cup of tea.

Stovetop heating heats whole house and takes forever. Simply a dumb way to boil water. Adding to global warming for a cup of tea is irresponsible.
