Great five year Shu Pu-erh
What a fantastic tea! Earthy with smokey, peppery, overtones and yet velvety and somewhat sweet. Great bargain for the price, a real quality tea.

Wonderful!
I tried the Pu-erh this morning and found it's subtle smokiness and smoothness a great way to start the day.
I have tried other Pu-erh teas, in fact one I bought in Hong Kong at a tea museum and found them sometimes to be harsh tasting.
I preferred yours!

My cup of tea
This is my “go to” tea. The first time I ordered this, I didn’t know what to expect. When it was super dark after preparing, I was a little concerned about how strong tasting it would be. Instead, it was distinctly smooth. I drink this about every morning. I would love to try other Pu-erh varieties. Marcus, I hope that you can add additional Pu-erh teas. Thanks for providing teas free from chemicals and additives.

Tea with respect: I have sampled many teas over the course of my life, and have ended up with my two favorites: pu-erh and Sinharajah. My day is just not the same without the start of one of these tees, which depends on my morning mood as to my selection of the day.. I appreciate the good service, personal and prompt attention to my questions. Aloha

Puerh chai tea
The thing I like most about Moon Tea is the variety of teas they offer. I have tried so many and found very few that are true favorites. The exception is Puerh chai tea. It is a full bodied, dark tea with a unique flavor that I just can’t put my finger on. I have it so often, my wife thinks I’m addicted to it. I recommend it to any tea lover has one that you must at least Try. 💆♂️

Earthy
I like your pu-erh tea as it has an earthiness that contrasts with the floral tippy earl grey. The tones of hay and soil make it great for when a full bodied tea is what you're in the mood for.

Satisfying daytime tea for a coffee drinker
I like full flavor, smoothness and some mouthfeel to my warm drinks. I have enjoyed this Pu-erh, which is now part of my "tea cupboard canon." I like that it has layers of flavor. I like that it brews over and over with a satisfying taste. I read a reviewer who blended it with another of my favorites, Lapsang Souchong, and totally agree!! This is the way I've been enjoying the two teas since my recent purchase. Thanks, Golden Moon, for worry free teas!

Pu-Ehr is obviously part of the Golden Moon family of teas.
I have noticed a strong similarity in the basic characteristics of your teas.
Most seem to convey the same smoothness, moderate strength, lower tannin (except the (French Breakfast), and a comfortable drinkability.
There is often a single flavor or a few closely related flavors that distinguish each tea from the others.
The Pu-ehr has the usual distinct "barnyard" qualities in aroma and taste on top of these same core characteristics.
It is more like the Sinharaja than any of the other teas.
The Lapsang has the biting smokiness, French Breakfast has a tannic roughness, Sinharaja has an odd fruitiness, Jasmine Pearls the floral addition, and the Darjeeling is more vegetal.
The Earl Grey has more young Tips leaves than the others, which gives it an extra bit of crisp smoothness.

Amazing Pu Erh
I ordered 4 different teas from Golden Moon Tea and love them all!!! The aged pu-erh is amazing and I highly recommend it! I make a strong brew in the morning with many subsequent rebrews and It is very rich and full-bodied. I feel that the subsequent rebrews extract more of the l-theanine which has a calming effect and it helps me sleep deeply through the night. I am in love with pu erh and this is a very good organic one which I will repurchase after I finish my one-pound bag :D

The Budget Tea
IF u want to reduce the earthy, umami taste that pu-ehrs are known for, then add some Irish black to it. Find a ratio that fits your tastebuds. The only thing w/ this pu-ehr is I don't know if you can reseep this tea, info doesn't say anything about it. Of all the pu-ehrs I've had, you can reseep tea at least ~5-6x & the teabag says so. That's the most unique thing w/ pu-ehrs & they don't go bitter. It stays smooth & tasty. If your on a budget, than pu-erhs are the tea to buy b/c you can reseep & they NEVER expire. In fact, the longer it sits in your cup board, the better.

It was not what I expected. The first brew of the few cups had a fishy taste to it. I’ll try rinsing the leaves first next time. The second brew was better. The third brew had the earthy flavor.

I love this pu-erh tea! It's a soothing treat that I enjoy. It's rich and has a special aroma. I like it with a little stevia or honey and a milk alternative or half and half alternative. I'd encourage anyone who likes black tea to try it. My husband is Chinese and his mother said pu-erh is good for digestion.

Metabolic Syndrome
I ordered the Puerh tea because Golden Moon tweeted an article about this tea helping with metabolic syndrome. As a hyperglycemic, I found that drinking this tea every day clinically (and measurably) lowered my blood sugar to the point where I stopped needing medication and have adapted to a low carb lifestyle. The taste is not for everyone, but I have benefited greatly.

Pu-erh

My Favorite Tea
This is my favorite tea. I love the flavor and smell combo. The musty earthy taste is strong, but not overpowering. On top of that the leaves are good for 2 or 3 uses before becoming to watered down. If you're new to tea, then you should know that region effects taste the same way it effects wine. Pu-erh is named after a city in Yunnan China where they grow this tea. The region is mountainous, with high levels of iron in the soil, and fed by water carrying minerals from the Himalayas. Combined with the aging techniques they use, it gives a very unique flavor, and one that I absolutely love.

Pu-erh
This has been my first time trying Pu-erh. I found the smell very enjoyable! The taste is very rich and a bit complicated to describe. With each taste I can find new descriptions: earthy, rich, bold, firm, pleasant. It almost reminds me of a mushroom tea, which is quite good! I am enjoying this tea!

Fantastic Pu-ehr!
I have tried quite a few Pu-erh’s and most of them are lacking flavor, richness and are just plain bad. This Pu-ehr it’s amazing! It has the earthy flavor and richness I have come to love in my tea. This tea isn’t for everyone but it is definitely in my top 5!

I love this Pu-Ehr!
I “discovered” Pu-Ehr tea about a year ago. I had read about it’s health benefits and wanted to try it. I got some tea bags (organic) and liked it a lot but it was hard to find in local shops and the few types I tried were good but inconsistent. When I saw Golden Moon Tea has Pu-Ehr I ordered some. I love it!!! It’s rich and smooth and the flavor is so good. It has the fermented smell which I like but some people may find weird but I urge you to get past the smell if you don’t like it because it’s such a good tea flavor. This is my favorite tea. A tip- I ordered the spoon so I’d get the right amount of loose leaves in each pot. It helped makes every pot the same. Definitely worth a few dollars more!

Very nice
I was expecting the flavor to be way more intense, I didn't know what to expect but I do love to brew beer and make other fermented things. It has a nice, mild, fermented, umami flavor that just comes across as a nice black tea with a slight fermented note.
Mary W said:
Rich earthy tea
Very dark rich tea. Wonderful with alittle organic honey and iced for a summer pick me up. Even my husband enjoyed it iced.
Deb R said:
Mild but fishy
The flavor was good - mild black tea (I drank it straight to get an idea of the flavor without cream or sugar or anything). However, it had a 'fishy' aroma that wasn't pleasant. I had both my husband and son try a bit and while they liked the taste, the smell was off-putting. Guess the fermented-ness just isn't our cup of tea

When I read the reviews about this tea I found out the one either loves it or not, nothing in between. I decided to order it anyway and give it a try. I love it. I love it’s earthy flavor and scent. It was a good choice for me, however it may not be for everyone.

One for me, one for a gift
I've heard people say that Pu-erh is an acquired taste, but not so for me... I liked it from the very first cup. Rich, deeply flavored brew that pairs well with milk (dairy or other), and I occasionally add honey for a treat. Golden Moon used to sell a pu-erh chai (several years ago) that I loved, so adding the chai spices is another idea. Usually, though, I brew it strong and add a dash of milk. Delicious!

Fermented Tea? I thought could that be good? It couldn't right? I gave it a try. Nothing ventured nothing gained and boy am I glad I did. WOW!!! Fermented tea where have you been? I found a new favorite tea. I expected a sour taste but that was not the case. This tea was complex and satisfying. It's now my afternoon pick me up.
