FRENCH BREAKFAST

This has become one of my favorite new teas for morning or afternoon. I prefer to drink it black but brewed at 175 degrees to let all the subtle layers of flavor come through.

I have been drinking this tea and serving it to guests for 25 years. I always get asked what it is and it’s become a favorite gift of mine as well. It has a delicate taste that is not quite floral but almost like a refined liquor. It’s a medium bodied black tea so I like to drink it black. Perfect as a morning cup or a relaxing cup in the eve.

I have been an avid black tea drinker for 50+ years but had access never heard of French Breakfast tea before, so I decided to order a large quantity of the tea (my mistake). The frame is superb, but the taste, for me is bland and lacking a distinctive taste (BTW, I drink it straight and strong.) I was very disappointed n

I very much enjoy this tea. I drink it throughout the day and sometimes add a splash of sweet cream.

I love this tea iced, though it's just as good hot. I've had the Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka, so I wanted to try this one and it's just as good as the one my friend brings back to me when he visits his parents. Now I can get it anytime I want. Nice!

I have tried most of the Golden Moon teas and they are all well made and trustworthy, this French Breakfast just happens to be my favorite, I have it every morning and love it!!!!!

I buy a pound of this about every year. It's wonderful, hot, or iced. I especially like that it's very flexible if I add other flavorings to it or make kombucha.

I was so happy to find a company that sells loose leaf organic teas. I brew tea every afternoon for my husband and me and we both enjoy this tea. I find this tea has great flavor without being bold. Since I buy it in bulk this is easier on our budget.

Some breakfast teas have a bit of an after-taste...they can sometimes be harsh, but that's the price you pay for the morning go-juice. Not so here...French breakfast is rich and smooth and delivers the go without the after-taste.

This is not a kick you in the head, first thing in the morning to get going tea. This is a nice mellow tea to sip along with a Danish for a nice breakfast.
Because of the high caffeine levels be aware that a case of jitters might follow because you consumed too much as the tea is such a nice mellow one to just keep on drinking. Give it a try and enjoy.

We have missed Golden Moon for several months due to a computer malfunction and lack of memory on my part. We realized after having to drink "name brand" teas that Golden Moon is the best!

I buy this in 16 bags to have whenever I want a “real cup of tea” instead of coffee. The caffeine level is perfect for the morning however not at nighttime if you’re heading for bed. Very pleasant flavor with a slightly sweet follow through even after it cools down.

This tea is so good. Very smooth, strong but not at all bitter. I have two cups every morning.

French Breakfast Tea from the Golden Moon Tea Co. is a delight. If you like a mild black tea, this is a great one to try. I drink it without milk. It is wonderful with breakfast and also goes nicely with scones for afternoon tea!

i bought the small pouch of French Breakfast to try - both my husband and i like this. high caffeine so we don't drink a lot of this, but do have a small glass at lunch or with snack. still experimenting with brewing times - so it is not too strong, dark. but really do like it - will order again, and probably the larger size! would recommend it to have in your variety of teas.

I've been ordering from Golden Moon since I found them several years ago. Everything I've bought has been excellent. French Breakfast is my daily drinker. This product, and this company, gets my strongest recommendation.

This tea is hard to get right. If you brew it to get the flavor, it comes out too dark. If you brew it to be smooth, it comes out too light. Perfectly drinkable, but I'd try something else on the menu next time.

This tea is new to me, and I have discovered I need to brew it a bit weaker than I usually brew my other teas. Now that I have experimented I can say I would re-order it. Just remember that, as the French and Irish are different in many ways, so are their teas.

I bought a small pouch of this tea and immediately it became my favorite; now I am back ordering a larger size! The tea has a rich, full and warm honeyed taste. The tea flavor and aroma "float" in my mouth sip after sip. Most flavorful despite it being billed as a "smooth" tea. Definitely a Ceylon taste. The best Ceylon taste ever.

I'm not a tea snob. I don't really know anything about tea -- what makes it good, the different flavor notes, etc. I barely know how to brew it. I just put the leaves in a reusable cup and put it through my auto-brewer.

HOWEVER, I can tell you that I'm very fond of this tea. It has a good taste when left unsweetened. It also works well with artificial sweeteners/milk. And, most importantly, it keeps me caffeinated through my work-from-home shift. I can't drink coffee due to stomach and blood pressure issues, so this is ideal for me.

I buy the 1/2lb bag, it ships quickly and lasts a good while. Drink it every day that I have to work. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a basic, easy tea that will keep you going.

I am using French Breakfast tea for more than a year now. I am very satisfied with the flavor. The company are doing great with notices about the incoming order, and ships every time on schedule. I am completely satisfied with the product and the company as well. Recommend.

As a fan of breakfast teas, I was anxious to try French Breakfast. I was not disappointed! It is a very enjoyable, mellow tea. A new favorite of mine.

I drink this tea every morning for a smooth, strong, but not bitter black tea. In the afternoon I add some Madagascar Vanilla for nice relaxing version, or some Tippy Earl Grey for a brighter afternoon cup. It also re-steeps well: At least 2 cups. My favorite tea.

Golden Moon Tea’s French Breakfast became one of my top 10 the moment I tasted it. It is rich and smooth with a full mouthfeel and a lingering finish. It is wonderful with a breakfast of any type or as an afternoon pick-me-up. I enjoy this tea often.

With cold weather setting in this is a great tea for the season!

Although I (usually) start my day with a porcelain mug of my personal blend of cold brewed coffee, I am very much an "all day" die hard tea-aholic. Golden Moon's French Breakfast is one of the 5 teas that I regularly purchase from G.M. Personally, I find the French Breakfast blend wonderful...along with their English & Irish Breakfast blends...I think all are superb. Truly, I've never seen a French Breakfast Tea blend anywhere else. I do love the English & Irish Breakfast blends, but the French Breakfast blend is my favorite of the three...it's marvelous for any time of the day. The other two teas I purchase from Golden Moon are Sinharaja & Tippy Earl Grey, both are excellent. I hope they will always have these 5 teas in their inventory

Unfortunately, I don't like this tea very much. The best thing I can say about it is that it is smooth--no bitterness, at least from a first infusion. It took me a little experimentation to brew this tea so it was actually drinkable--when brewing it the way I normally make a breakfast tea, it was weak and insipid, though still smooth. By the time I figured out the best way to make it, it was basically gone. While it is smooth, and a first infusion is not bitter, it is also lacking in body and flavor, even after getting the steep as good as possible. I don't alway drink breakfast tea with milk and sugar, but I frequently like to, and adding milk to this tea blands out the flavor even more and is not a good idea. It also can't stand up to a second infusion, at all. Upon a second infusion, it is even weaker and gets an unpleasant taste, bordering on bitter. This tea is inexpensive enough that a second infusion isn't a necessity in order to get your money's worth but I like to do multiple infusions when possible--it just isn't possible with this. If there were a way to get 2 or 3 times the "oomph" into this tea, without adding bitterness, I think I might like it quite a bit but, as it is, I will not be purchasing it again!

This is my go-to morning tea. It's completely delightful.

I have been a customer of Golden Moon for over 20 years and there are very few tea sources that I trust for consistency. French Breakfast is my favorite black varietal here. Great depth of flavor, no bitter edge and velvety.

I drink several cups of black tea, no sugar or milk, just black tea first thing in the morning and English Breakfast has been my tea of choice for several years but when I reordered from Golden Moon and saw "French Breakfast" I thought I would give it a try. Both are pleasant straight up and probably their names are much like the civilization described. Like the Brits, English Breakfast is a bit bracing at the end. French Breakfast is a bit softer, maybe more elegant. I enjoy both straight up and depending on my mood and time of day. Always a pleasure to drink teas from Golden Moon.

This is my favorite tea so far! As an avid tea drinker, I look for clean and delicious tea since teas that are saturated in chemical will give me a headache. This tea is wonderful, and I can drink it without getting a headache!

This is my favorite black tea in the whole world! It's extremely affordable, high quality and doesn't go bitter if I oversteep it a little. I've been making cold brew tea with this all summer long and all my guests ask where this tea is from because it is just that delicious. Worth buying over and over again forever :)

I enjoy Golden Moon's teas immensely. I like black tea so I'll go through phases where I'll order English Breakfast or Irish Breakfast teas and am currently in the French Breakfast phase! It's delicious - full bodied without being over powerful.

I grew up on Louisiana sweet tea and after making the switch to organic and loose leaf, I struggled to find a favorite. I decided on a whim to try this company. I can't say enough good things about their teas. I have tried many of them but routinely come back to the French Breakfast. I like it as iced tea and also hot with milk and honey. It isn't quite the same as I was used to but I really like the flavor.

Golden Moon is the only place I buy loose teas. All the teas I have tried are excellent! I mainly buy the Irish, British and French breakfast teas, but also like the mint tea.

This tea is by far the best tea I have ever had and has been exactly what I have been looking for, it's rich, has a dark robust flavor, but is somehow still very sweet and honeyed. I am in love.

About a year ago, our friends had us over to their place for snacks - and tea and coffee. I am not a coffee drinker, but a tea drinker. Barb made me a cup of tea that was the BEST TEA I have ever tasted!!! And I have had many teas. It has such a distinct, smooth, perfectly flavored taste. It has become my number 1 choice in teas - and I had never heard of it before. I immediately asked Barb what kind of tea it was and where she had gotten it. She showed me the container and had me take a picture of it - and then gave me the website where I could order the French Breakfast tea and explained how easy ordering was - and the number of different teas that are available. Once you try the tea, you will be a fan as well as and will want to share the tea with your friends. I always order extra at holidays to give as gifts!

Enjoying the smooth taste of French Breakfast tea everyday. Great quality at a reasonable price. Nice packaging as well. I enrolled in the auto refill which is great. Good communication by the company when delivery is expected. Also, able to change the refill date easily. Happy to find Golden Moon Tea!

A solid breakfast tea. I steep it for a shorter time to reduce the tannin in the final cup.

For me, i add Irish to this mix, on it's own, i find the tea not as strong as i would like it. I don't use cream w/ tea, just sometimes sugar. If the tea is pretty bold & mildly sweet on it's on, then no need.

It is quite a different tea for breakfast! Of course, one can enjoy at any hour. Enjoyed the blend, We appreciate your environmental concerns very much.

I've been a customer for years, Altho I occasionally try other brands, none ever compare to the Golden Moon teas. I start my day every morning with vanilla jasmine/french breakfast blend and I love it. Never gets old.

Pleasantly full-bodied and fruity. The warm rich flavor stands up to milk & sugar. It works iced too.

Although I enjoy flavored black teas, French Breakfast is probably my favorite tea. Very smooth, full bodied but delicate at the same time. Wonderful flavor. Love it.

French breakfast continues to be a tea that we enjoy any time of the day. You really can't go wrong with any golden moon tea. But we are black tea drinkers first and this is definitely one that we enjoy every day. Smells great in the bag, brews up with a clean delicious taste.

Of all the breakfast teas, French Breakfast is my favorite. Smooth, less sharp than English or Irish Breakfast tea, but with enough of a punch to wake you up! Like all of Golden Moon's teas, their French Breakfast is clean tasting, robust and made with whole leaves. Always delicious.

This ceylon tea is so smooth and delicious, with no bitterness at all but still holds up to cream and sugar. If you're looking for a good black tea that is versatile and has very low astringency then this is a great one to try. I initially tried out a sampler pack but had to order a whole bag after because I enjoyed it so much. It has become my go-to for a good cup of black tea.
