TIE GUAN YIN

Oolong tea can get mixed results for me depending on the tea, but this tea has a nice clean taste without any harsh grassy notes. It is a nice light refreshing treat.

We've been enjoying Golden Moon's Tie Guan Yin for 4 years now. The tea leaves quality from every batch of orders has been consistently great throughout these years. If you want to enjoy Oolong Tea to its greatest potential, never steep it using boiling water! In our experience, the second steep is always the most flavorful and aromatic.

Definitely the best Oolong. Full bodied but smooth and mellow at the same time.

If you are looking for a very flavorful tea, this is not it. It has a very subtle, smooth flavor. I have to steep it longer than it recommends to get any real flavor. It is a nice tea but doesn't blow me away. I don't expect I will repurchase.

I'm new in the tea world so wouldn't know what's considered good, i just have peace of mind that its organic, free from pesticides and the best price for organic that I could find. My inlaws however, are traditional gong fu drinkers and approved this oolong! that's all I I need to know! will definitely be buying more from golden moon.

I usually make this tea with breakfast, and enjoy making several more cups as the day passes. It is a subtle and beautiful tea that is also very economical since I can make 3-4 cups from a single pinch of leaves.

I used to purchase my Oolong tea from a San Francisco supplier that I absolutely loved. I’m extremely particular about tea and it’s very difficult to get me to change my favorite brands once I find something I like. When I accidentally came across this Organic Oolong variety from Golden Moon, I decided to give it try out of curiosity. But, I certainly didn’t have very high expectations. After all, what could possible displace my favorite staple tea I’ve been drinking for years? Once the tea arrived, I was amazingly surprised how pure and exquisite this tea tasted. After I was done, I picked out the whole tea leaves that unrolled after brewing it and noticed how beautifully fresh and green they looked. I was so impressed with the quality of the tea that I decided to compared it side-by-side to my favorite staple tea which looked more brown and gnarled. Needless to say, I now have a new favorite tea and tea supplier.

It is difficult to find good organic Tie Guan Yin, but this tea an exception. I am happy to share this tea is very pleasing and worthy of daily gong fu drinking.

I ordered 100g package of Oolong tea from Reishi and a jar of Golden Moon Oolong. Sorry Reishi but your Oolong tea can't compare to the Golden Moon's Tie Guan Yin in aroma and taste.

The tea leaves make a really great tasting tea. Its very fresh and no bitters that I find in some other teas.

I keep this tea and a steeper in my work bag and have it just about everyday to ward off the afternoon doldrums. This mild but delicious tea has the perfect amount of caffeine to wake me up after lunch without keeping me up at night.

This is a very pleasant, mild tea.
After steeping the leaves (round pearls) - I was surprised when I saw how the leaves had opened up fully - every single one was a whole, full leaf, no pieces.
And the tea seems to get better with second and third infusion.

I recently tried and love Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea. It reminded me of green tea, but a little bolder flavor. It is worth taking a little extra time to bring the water to the perfect temp and steeping for the recommended time. This tea needs no sweetener. The flavor is great just out of the teapot.

So perfect with a little bit of lemon and raw honey. Great replacement for morning coffee. I feel energized without the crash that coffee gives.

Love it in the afternoon with a touch of honey, very soothing.

It takes a bit of work to get the most out of this tea. I tend to use a few more leaves and brew at a bit higher temperature than I have with other tie guan yin teas I have brewed in the past. The reward is worth the effort and while I would prefer to sip it in peace, I will admit that it has gotten me through many midday Zoom meetings. Take your time with the brew and the sip and enjoy!

I love both of these teas. I drink one of them with my nightly dinner and one of my many black tea favorites from Golden Moon Tea for Breakfast. The nice thing about Tie Guan Yin is you can do several brews if you follow the directions for this in the blog section. I usually get 5 brews. The flavor is smooth and mild. As for the Coconut Pouchong. that is like drinking dessert and makes for a nice after dinner drink.

Love this tea. Made it without any additions and it was wonderful. Would be like dessert if I added cream and honey.

I've enjoyed so many varieties of oolong tea over the years as our local tea supplier always had a perfectly steeped tea along with a smile and a back story on each type. This wonderful man retired a few years ago and I've struggled to find oolong teas on my own that are this delightful. Full flavor with no burnt or bitter undertones. I recommend this organic oolong!

This is one of our favorite teas. It is flavorful and rich, never bitter as some other teas of this type can be. It is a bit "roasty", yet very rounded and mellow. It needs nothing--no sugar, honey, etc. It is quite perfect as is.

I love this tea. It isn’t black tea so the caffeine content is low. I like it just plain, no sugar or milk. I think it is best drank hot. Don’t know how to pronounce its name but that hardly matters does it.

I got onto Golden Moon tea after a friend served me their Golden Monkey variety. I then bought many of their teas! The tie guan yin is a great tea. The flavor is perfectly balanced & fresh.

Oolong is my favorite tea, i usually steep mine twice, second steep smoother, better flavor in my opinion. Thinking of trying coconut pouchong next, since mom and dad both drink tea i have to get 1lb bag .

My mom and I are sensitive to chemicals and this tea does not give headaches and tastes so good. It’s our favorite!!

I’ve been trying oolong after oolong (my favorite tea), and nothing comes close to this Golden Moon’s Tie Guan Yin in terms of quality and flavor for the price. Also wonderful steeped strong and served over ice after a long, hot summer day in the garden!

The TIE GUAN YIN is one of the most smoothest oolong teas that I have ever tasted. It goes down nicely with a dash of local honey. It still tastes great after multiple steepings. Highly recommend this tea!
